Icy Box

Were you impressed by the first model, the 10-bay enclosure IB-3810U3? Now, the series continues with the same advantages in a 5-bay enclosure, made from high-quality aluminum and equipped with the latest USB Type-C 3.1 (Gen 2) technology. A sequel couldn't be more exciting and up-to-date. This external single enclosure accommodates a total of five SATA I/II/III hard drives. It is primarily made of aluminum, making it stable and excellent at dissipating heat. The cooling of the drives is further supported by a large 120 mm fan at the back and corresponding air intakes on the doors of the drive bays at the front. The doors of the individual slots are lockable. The system's LEDs indicate operation and hard drive usage. As a massive data storage solution, it showcases its full functionality. This includes the external interface USB 3.1 (Gen 2) with UASP support, as well as the ability to use hard drives without any capacity limitations. The features of the IB-3805-C31 also include several other convenient functions, such as tool-less hard drive installation and an energy-saving standby mode. Additionally, it offers HotSwap capability, Plug & Play, support for both Windows and macOS systems, and the ability to individually power on and off hard drives without interrupting the USB connection. The additional USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C HUB interface is also a real highlight, allowing for the connection of a second IB-3805-C31 in a Daisy Chain configuration, should more drives be needed later on.
