The DX300 can be started either in Android mode with its diverse features or as a pure music system called Mango OS. With Mango OS, all additional functions such as apps, WiFi, and Bluetooth are turned off, and the DX300 functions solely as a music player for a puristic playback of stored music.

In addition to WiFi for streaming services, the DX300 is also equipped with Bluetooth for wireless music playback to a Bluetooth headphone or speaker.
