The 50 mm neodymium magnet drivers of the HyperX Cloud Alpha deliver excellent sound quality in the high and mid ranges, as well as powerful bass. The ear cups of the HyperX Cloud Alpha are padded with memory foam, which always returns to its original shape and offers high durability. The sturdy aluminum headband allows for size adjustment of the headset for a secure fit and high comfort. With a total weight of only 336 grams, the HyperX Cloud Alpha remains comfortable to wear even after several hours. A volume control with a mute switch for the microphone is integrated into the cable.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha features an excellent condenser microphone located on the left ear cup, which is detachable. The unidirectional microphone ensures natural-sounding, clear voice transmission and very good shielding against distracting background noise. The also detachable connection cable is fabric-wrapped, 1.3 meters long, and equipped with a 4-pole jack plug. A 2-meter adapter cable splits the signal into a 3.5 mm microphone jack and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, extending the total cable length to 3.3 meters.
