MKP motor capacitors

Hydra motor capacitors with pressure cutoff switch, MKP-Si technology, series 500. Safety: Capacitors may fail under extreme operating conditions or after reaching their lifespan. Hydra motor capacitors are manufactured with a built-in pressure cutoff switch. In the event of failure, gas formation and temperature rise in the capacitor lead to an increase in pressure. This causes the housing to extend by up to 9 mm due to the stretching of the fold seam, thereby interrupting the supply line at the designated breaking point. The capacitor is safely disconnected from the power supply. Hydra capacitors are certified by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute and comply with the safety class P2 requirements according to EN 60252. Installation: Hydra motor capacitors can be mounted vertically or horizontally. To ensure proper triggering of the pressure cutoff switch due to the thermal expansion of the capacitor housing, a minimum distance of approximately 12 mm from the connection to adjacent components must be observed. Construction: Metallized polypropylene, aluminum housing with or without metal pins, environmentally friendly filling material (plant oil).
