The I-V400w allows for the determination of the current-voltage characteristic curve of photovoltaic individual modules as well as a module string up to a maximum of 1000 V and 15 A. With a simple press of a button, the current power (Mpp), peak power, short-circuit current, and open-circuit voltage are displayed on the graphic display and automatically converted to standard test conditions (STC). The measured and STC-converted I-U and power characteristic curves are also shown.
By comparing the measured characteristic curve with the manufacturer's specified curve (up to 35 modules with their technical data can be stored simultaneously in the I-V400w module database), immediate conclusions can be drawn about the current quality status of the PV modules. The measurement data and characteristic curve can be saved after measurement with three reference numbers (installation, string, module number) and a text comment in the I-V400w, and transferred to a PC or iPad/Tablet via the optically isolated interface or Wi-Fi for further processing (report).
The I-V400w features a database with the specifications of the most common PV modules. This database can be expanded or updated at any time by the user directly or through the PC interface using the TOPVIEW software.
