The HPE FlexFabric 5940 Switch Series is a product family of high-performance 10 GbE and 40 GbE Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches with low latency for data centers. The 5940 Switch also features 100G uplink technology, which is part of the HPE FlexFabric solution for data centers and a key component of the FlexNetwork architecture. The 5940 Switch is ideal for deployment at the aggregation or server access layer of large enterprise data centers or in the core layer of mid-sized enterprise data centers. The switch is optimized for high-performance server connections as well as convergence of Ethernet and storage traffic in virtual environments.
