The DisplayPort connection should be connected to the DisplayPort port on the graphics card of the HP Compaq Business Desktop computer or the HP Workstation, and the HDMI port should only be connected to the HDMI input of the monitor using an HDMI cable. The adapter only converts one DisplayPort output to an HDMI input; it does not convert an HDMI output to a DisplayPort input.
