The Hoya HMC Skylight 1B filter, reduces the excessive blueness that often occurs in outdoor photography. Especially in open shade under clear blue skies. The absorption peak is in the range corresponding to the green spectrum of a film. This means excellent outdoor photography with superb color balance and clarity in all conditions. It also keeps skin tones free of colored reflections from nearby objects such as the shade of trees.
The filter has a HMC (Hoya Multi Coated) coating.
This provides better image quality and improved protection.
These popular filters are known for their ability to minimize reflection from the filter surfaces, reducing flare and ghosting. The result is an average light transmission of over 97%, providing sharp contrast and balanced colors. HOYA HMC filters are recommended to improve the performance of today's multi-coated lenses.
