Hoya Fusion Antistatic

This filter with a diameter of 112 mm has been specifically designed to fit the new Nikon 14-24 mm f/2.8 and 120-300 mm f/2.8 lenses. Additionally, this rather specialized diameter is used for the Pentax 560 mm f/5.6 and Tokina Cinema Vista 16-28 mm II T/3. Hoya engineers have developed a new anti-static coating that acts like a force field around the filter to repel dust. These filters are perfect for environments where dust is common, as they require less frequent cleaning and maintenance than conventional filters. Furthermore, the hardened, anti-static top layer is water-repellent, stain- and scratch-resistant, and easy to clean when stains or fingerprints get on the surface. The UV filter cuts out unwanted ultraviolet rays, reduces haze, and enhances clarity. Additionally, the UV filter serves very well as a protective glass for the lens. The new professional anti-static filters from Fusion Antistatic are made in Japan from carefully selected silicates that are meticulously melted and mixed to create high-performance optical glass. Hoya then applies utmost care and precision to coat the enhanced 18-layer Super Multi-Coating (on both sides) formula, which significantly reduces or eliminates reflections on the glass surface and results in a clear high transmission rate. This means that the filter has virtually no impact on the color balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image. The filters feature a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile flat aluminum frame to hold the glass. This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain perfect parallel alignment with the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, while the flat shape eliminates vignetting when used with ultra-wide-angle lenses.
