Hoya

The Hoya 58mm HD MKII IRND 1000 Neutral Density 3.0 10-Stop Filter offers precise light control for photographers and filmmakers. This professional filter reduces light transmission by 10 stops (ND 3.0), allowing for longer exposure times and wider apertures in bright lighting conditions. Hoya's ACCU-ND technology ensures consistent light reduction across the entire visible and infrared spectrum, preventing color shifts that can occur with traditional neutral density filters. The filter features a flat aluminum frame with a 58 mm diameter and front filter threads for combining with additional filters. Multi-layer anti-reflective coatings minimize internal reflections and stray light during long exposures, while a hydrophobic surface coating repels water and oils, making cleaning easier. This filter maintains optical clarity and color accuracy while providing creative control over exposure settings. The precision-machined construction prevents light leakage and vignetting, making it suitable for demanding photographic applications. As a successor to earlier Hoya ND filters, this version features improved infrared light management for optimized performance with digital sensors. The filter allows photographers to achieve motion blur effects in daylight, smooth water surfaces, or isolate subjects with shallow depth of field. Filmmakers can maintain correct shutter angles at optimal aperture values. Compatible with all lenses with a 58 mm filter thread, this filter serves as an essential tool for landscape, architectural, and film photography, where precise exposure control is required.
