Honeywell has specifically designed the Voyager Extreme Performance (XP) 1470g for retail work environments. It captures not only all common 1D and 2D barcodes but also DotCodes and digital vouchers from smartphones or tablets. It reliably and quickly reads even damaged or hard-to-read barcodes, saving a significant amount of time. Thanks to the extended scanning distance, it can also securely capture inaccessible barcodes. The scanner has a motion tolerance of 70 cm/s, and the scan angle is 39.2° horizontally and 27.4° vertically. The 2D scanner can withstand multiple drops from heights of up to 1.8 meters and is protected against the ingress of foreign objects up to 1 mm according to its IP40 certification. For consistently good performance, it features USB, Keyboard Wedge (KBW), RS-232, and RS-485 interfaces with support for IBM 46XX. Another advantage is its full backward compatibility with existing Voyager accessories, significantly reducing overall operating costs as there are no additional expenses for optional accessories.
