The scanner cannot be switched to barcode mode without pressing a button. The MS-5145 is a handheld laser barcode scanner equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The user simply aims at the barcode, and data transmission occurs only after pressing the button. The process is facilitated by a pulsating scanning beam that stabilizes once the sensor registers the barcode, indicating to the user that it is ready to scan. This intelligent scanning method is suitable for all barcode scanning applications, including reliably selecting individual items from a barcode list, document processing, and asset inventory.
