The standard strain relief (for cable diameters of 4 - 8.5 mm) offers significant advantages over other systems: The force of the clamping jaws is distributed over a larger area even with larger cable diameters, while in other products, the soft PVC of the microphone cables is often squeezed out on the side. This protects the cable. Nevertheless, the strain relief force is about twice as high as that of conventional systems.
