Hall sensor for propeller positioning with IBEX brushless controllers

The positioning function allows you to accurately bring the motor/propeller into the position required for a safe landing or simply for comfortable continued flight. With just a few external components (Hall sensor and a small magnet), you can activate this function and prevent your propeller from being damaged during landing. The magnet must be properly attached to the rotating part (either the motor or the propeller), and the Hall sensor must be located in the fuselage or the motor cover so that the magnet aligns with the target propeller position at the Hall sensor. After activating the positioning function in the menu, you should also set the positioning PWM to ensure the motor rotates slowly but steadily.

The Hall sensor is excellent as a position sensor, for example, for landing gear, folding engines, and similar applications. With Jeti Duplex receivers, a servo slot can be set to "digital input" to transmit the sensor data to the transmitter.
