This compact and super-flexible 3-way active monitor with 7" woofers, a dedicated 4" midrange driver, and HEDD's own high-resolution Air-Motion-Transformer (HEDD AMT) delivers plenty of power, dynamics, and openness even at very high levels. It can be used in nearfield and midfield applications and is suitable for any studio challenge, whether mixing, producing, recording, or mastering.

Like the other MK2 models, the TYPE 20 MK2 is a powerhouse of innovation: a powerful SHARC DSP allows the integrated Lineariser® to completely smooth the speaker's phase and create a captivating stereo image with impressive depth. Additionally, the speaker supports HEDD's latest Closed-or-Ported (CoP) technology. You can choose between two different sound options: to experience maximum precision and detail, insert the custom foam plugs into the bass port and select the Closed mode. If you want to operate the speakers at higher volumes without sacrificing energy and access to deep bass, "Open" (without plugs) is the right choice.

Other great features include three different desktop filters and two shelving filters, allowing you to better adapt the speakers to your room. With the Bass Extension mode, you can also access lower frequency ranges (at the cost of some SPL). All controls of the new series are accessible via stepped aluminum potentiometers.
