Sarcastic, wicked, tragicomic - these are the cartoons by Elias Hauck and Dominik Bauer. Every month, the comic strips appear in the Apotheken Umschau and have been published for years under the name 'Am Rande der Gesellschaft' in the society section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. They have also been featured in Titanic and on the satire pages of Spiegel Online. The black-and-white line drawings are subtle, absurd, funny, and to the point. They require neither many strokes, nor colors, nor many words to create a dramatic tension that makes Hauck (the illustrator) and Bauer (the writer) among the greatest in their field.
