The NMC16 coating features eight layers on each side for very high light transmission and maximum anti-reflection. The vapor-deposited nano-coating provides a lotus effect, making it easy to clean and reducing fogging as well as dirt adhesion. It is water, oil, and dirt repellent and scratch-resistant. The filter's front and back are coated to ensure no loss of contrast or brilliance, preventing ghosting and double images. The ultra-thin wide mount prevents vignetting and can remain permanently on the lens without significantly lengthening the lens mount. A protected front lens saves on expensive repair costs. The glass is of high quality, and the black anodized metal filter mount along with blackened inner edges prevent reflections. Edge sealing protects against dirt, and the frame retains its shape despite temperature fluctuations.
