Product details
Light barrier for animal photography (e.g., flying birds, starting insects), target shots (e.g., competitions at the finish line), or party pictures (people in dance poses). The digital camera (DSLR) is triggered by a moving object or subject that breaks the light barrier. This light barrier triggers the camera at the right moment: the photographer no longer runs the risk of missing the shot. It consists of a transmitter (placed opposite the receiver) and a receiver (connected to the camera via cable). Interchangeable camera connectors (available separately for all common cameras) allow for easy adjustment of the light barrier for unobtrusive shots.
The following parameters are adjustable:
- Continuous shooting (only possible in program, semi-automatic, or manual mode)
- Long exposure (Bulb)
- Delayed release (4 seconds)
Consumer note: The receiver and transmitter can be positioned on a tripod at a freely selectable distance (max. 5 m) using the integrated 1/4" (6.4 mm) thread. The camera connection cable can be extended. The distance from the transmitter to the receiver can be up to 5 m (depending on lighting conditions). The connection of a light barrier to a camera is made via the electrical remote release socket. Thus, any camera that has a socket for an electrical remote release is suitable for photography with light barriers. Light barriers can be used in wildlife, product, sports, macro, advertising photography, and many other areas of photography. They are needed whenever moving subjects need to be reproducibly photographed, and the camera's autofocus or the human reflex for pressing the shutter is too slow. The light barrier can also be used separately as an infrared remote control for all cameras with a remote input.
