BL3 Floor Lamp by Gubi

The BL3 floor lamp, designed by Robert Dudley Best, is an impressive example of multifunctional and timeless design. Inspired by the Bauhaus style, Best created the lamp in the 1930s, but it gained fame later when Winston Churchill placed it on his desk. The lighting collection was produced in series by Best & Lloyd and received significant attention in the renowned architecture magazine "The Architect Magazine." In 2004, the Danish company Gubi took over the international production and distribution of the Bestlite lighting range.

The BL3 floor lamp is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional. The chrome support rod with a round base is infinitely adjustable in height, allowing for optimal positioning of the aluminum shade (16 cm diameter, 14 cm height) via a ball joint. With an E14 socket and a maximum power of 40 W, the BL3 provides sufficiently bright light for work or reading areas. The 2.5 m long fabric-covered cable and the inline switch for turning the lamp on and off complete the elegant design of the floor lamp.
