Why GaN? In developing the charger, we focused on making it as safe, small, and lightweight as possible. In our search for suitable technologies, we chose gallium nitride (GaN). This technology features a significantly higher thermal efficiency, allowing components to be placed much closer together. As a result, the device is considerably smaller than other chargers with similar performance.
