Black Tusq XL is a specially developed material that intensively transmits the vibration of the strings to the neck of the guitar, promoting overtones and making the sound fuller overall. It is based on the highly resonant Tusq material, but is also coated with PTFE. PTFE is an extremely slippery substance that prevents the string from jamming in the nut. This results in significantly improved tuning stability.
