It is 2x more powerful than the previous Silver Edition, offers 1080p at 60fps, has a 30% longer battery life, improved audio, enhanced performance in low light conditions, and 4x faster Wi-Fi.
The camera is waterproof up to 40 meters, features Wi-Fi, and has a one-button mode that starts video recording when powered on.

Der Hersteller ist sicherlich derjenige mit den besten Action Cams. Allerdings hat die Silver Edition nicht nur gutes zu bieten. Die Unterwasseraufnahmen sind zwar kontrastreich aber eher blass. Auch die Preise für das umfangreiche Zubehör ist gesalzen, sodass sich der Nutzer fragen muss ob die Anschaffung lohnt...
Beste Handhabung. Klassiker für Surfer, Skater und Biker. Technisch schwächer als die Black Edition: Videos insgesamt nur mäßig, bei wenig Licht verrauscht. Keine Bildstabilisierung. Farben übersättigt. Ton und Fotos annehmbar. Beste Handhabung, gut tragbar, Weißabgleich einstellbar, viele Befestigungen und Zubehör.
Viele Schwächen hat die GoPro nicht denn neben einer top Akkulaufzeit sowie kurzer Ladezeit ist das Modell mit WLAN ausgestattet und kann mittels Smartphone App bedient werden. Auch der Preis ist fair, wobei sie gegenüber dem Testsieger aus dem eigenen Haus bei Bild und Video nicht ganz mithalten kann.
Der Test der Hero 3+ Silver zeigt, dass GoPro die Actionkamera-Mittelklasse um sinnvolle Funktionen erweitert hat. Waren schnelle Bildwiederholraten bislang dem teuren Black-Modell vorbehalten, filmt endlich auch die Silver mit bis zu 60 Bildern pro Sekunde in Full-HD. Die Bildqualität liegt im guten Bereich, die Laufzeit profitiert vom neuen Akku und das WLAN hat deutlich an Tempo zugelegt.
