Cat. 8.1 patch cables are used for 25/40GBASE-T applications, with a transmission range of up to 30 meters and a transmission frequency of up to 2 GHz (four times the bandwidth of Cat. 6A). They are suitable for 25/40G Base-T Ethernet networks (40 Gigabit) and are backward compatible. The Cat. 8 Channel Link is 100% tested, with an included test report and a serial number. The maximum bandwidth is 2000 MHz / 2 GHz. The new RJ45 Cat. 8 connector meets industry standards with 50 µm gold-plated contact surfaces (pins). This double-shielded LAN/network cable features pair shielding (PIMF - pairs in metal foil) and overall shielding (braid). The length specification is indicated on the slim bending roll.
