The high-speed internet cable is suitable for 25/40GBASE-T Ethernet networks, capable of 40 Gigabits, and backward compatible with Ethernet 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T. With a transmission bandwidth of up to 2 GHz (2,000 MHz), the Ethernet cable has four times the bandwidth of CAT-6A cables. Each Goobay CAT-8.1 cable from 7.5 m is tested 1:1 in the channel and comes with a measurement protocol and individual serial number.

It is specifically suitable for gaming consoles with high-resolution images of 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, such as the Sony PlayStation 5 or Microsoft Xbox X. The innovative RJ45 connector, compliant with industry standards, features 50 µ gold-plated contact surfaces and a latch lever protection for an excellent network connection. The S/FTP overall shielding includes an aluminum foil shielding for individual pairs (PiMF) and an aluminum braid shielding for the cable jacket. The CAT-8 LAN cable is suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE), PoE+, UPoE, 4PPoE, and HDBaseT.
