Product details

This adapter allows a flash to be used for targeted lighting in conjunction with a Bowens light modifier, such as a softbox, reflector, or spot attachment. It can also be used as a flash tilt head together with a reflector or translucent umbrella. The speedring adapter features a 1-inch spigot mount. The flash is easily mounted in the adapter using a clamping mechanism. The clamping width can be variably adjusted from 27 to 52 mm via a hand screw. This makes it possible to use the speedring adapter with flash units of various manufacturers and sizes. A rubberized surface ensures a secure hold of the flash in the clamp. The speedring adapter can be tilted forward and backward in 90-degree increments with a tilt head. This allows for comfortable variable positioning of the light modifier for targeted lighting in studio photography. The tilt head is loosened with a hand screw with a long lever and can be adjusted in 20 click stops. These click stops ensure a secure hold of the tilt head in the desired position and prevent, for example, a softbox from unintentionally lowering due to its weight. With a 5/8 inch spigot connection, the speedring adapter along with the mounted flash and light modifier can be mounted on a lamp stand. The speedring adapter is securely fixed to the lamp stand with a hand screw. Thanks to an umbrella holder, the speedring adapter can also be used with a reflector umbrella or translucent umbrella instead of a Bowens light modifier. The umbrella can be quickly and easily attached to the umbrella holder, allowing for a seamless switch between using a light modifier and a reflector/translucent umbrella.
