The short spike and rubber foot set from Gitzo consists of two different diameters of 30 and 38 mm, both of which can slide over the stainless steel spikes to prevent the tripod from slipping on smooth surfaces. The high-strength rubber foot slides off, exposing the stainless steel spike, which can be placed for further stabilization of the tripod in sand, grass, or mud. Additionally, the feet and spikes can be used as replacements for the originals.
