The device operates with DECT technology (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications): Use the wireless connection and move up to 50 meters away from the base station while talking indoors with your handset. Since the technology operates below 2.45 GHz, it uses different frequency ranges than Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so it does not interfere with these networks. Switching the base station within a multi-cell radio network is possible by forwarding to another cell. DECT-GAP (Generic Access Profile) also allows communication between DECT devices from different manufacturers.
