The WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features three unique 82 mm blade fans, alternate spinning fans, six copper composite heat pipes, heat pipe direct contact, and 3D active fan functionality, all working together to provide effective heat dissipation for higher performance at lower temperatures.
GIGABYTE's patented "Alternate Spinning" is the only solution that can resolve the turbulent airflow from three fans. The biggest issue with three fans is turbulence. Since the fans rotate in the same direction, the airflow direction between the fans is opposite, leading to turbulent airflow and reduced cooling efficiency. GIGABYTE rotates the middle fan in the opposite direction, aligning the airflow direction between the two fans, which reduces turbulence and increases airflow pressure.
The shape of the pure copper heat sink maximizes the direct contact area with the graphics processor and enhances heat transfer. The heat pipe also covers the VRAM through a large metal plate contact to ensure adequate cooling.
The graphics card utilizes an 8+2 power phase design, allowing the MOSFET to operate at lower temperatures, along with over-temperature protection design and load balancing for each MOSFET, plus Ultra Durable certified chokes and capacitors to ensure excellent performance and a longer lifespan for the system.
