Genelec 8030C Active 2-Way Speaker, White, 1 Piece

The 8030C is a very compact and efficient near-field monitoring speaker, perfectly suited for project or home studios, workstations, installations, or surround sound monitoring. Its MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) housing features rounded corners and smoothly curved front and side panels, which minimize edge reflections from the speaker cabinet. The result is an extremely flat frequency response and precise stereo image.

Like all Genelec 8000 series speakers, the 8030C is equipped with an advanced Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW), a newly designed, aerodynamically optimized reflex port structure, and an acoustically rigid aluminum enclosure. The strength of the cabinet structure is enhanced by a durable paint finish and acoustically transparent but strong protective grilles for the speaker elements. New, very low-distortion driver units, correctly sized 50-watt amplifiers, and precisely designed active crossovers complete the package. Magnetic shielding, overdrive protection circuitry, and versatile acoustic controls are standard features of the 8030C. The 8030C can be easily positioned in various locations. Its rear panel features threads for wall or ceiling mounting, and the base of the speaker has a 3/8" thread for floor or table stands.

Each Genelec 8030C comes standard with the Iso-Pod (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler) table stand. The Iso-Pod is a clever mounting stand that allows easy placement of the speaker in either vertical or horizontal orientation. It also facilitates easy aiming of the speaker towards the listener while isolating it acoustically and mechanically from the surface it is placed on.

Thanks to the new power supply and automatic power management, the standby power consumption of the 8030C has been significantly reduced.
