The Genelec 8020D is a professional compact nearfield monitor. It delivers an analytical sound image without coloration for fatigue-free listening and objective mixing. With its small dimensions, it is suitable for small studios, post-production, broadcasting, and mobile applications. Protective grilles in front of the drivers simplify transport. The housing of the Genelec 8020D is made of aluminum, making the speaker resonance-free and stable. Rounded edges and optimized sound dispersion ensure balanced radiation, very good spatial representation, and a wide listening area. The stereo image is precise and stable. Despite its small size, it features a long bass reflex port that allows for accurate and deep bass reproduction. With the appropriate subwoofer 7040, the frequency range can be extended down to 30 Hz. Switchable filters allow the speaker to be adapted to the placement location and room acoustics. The IsoPod stand decouples the monitor from the surface and enables alignment with the listening position. Threaded holes and compatible accessories facilitate wall or ceiling mounting.
