Genelec 7380AP

The Genelec 7380 is an active subwoofer from the SAM series (Smart Active Monitoring). It can be adjusted to the room acoustics and setup through a measurement at the listening position. There are 20 DSP filters available for this purpose, which can also be edited manually. Disturbing room influences are significantly reduced, allowing for precise deep bass reproduction. The phase alignment is also automatically determined and adjusted. For measurement and control of the entire setup, the optionally available GLM kit (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager) is used. Alternatively, the playback of the 7380 can also be adjusted via dip switches.

Through bass management, the subwoofer automatically takes over all frequencies below the set crossover frequency. This relieves the connected speakers, resulting in better resolution and higher loudness for the entire system.

The Genelec 7380 offers analog inputs for surround setups up to 7.1. For 2.1 setups, an AES/EBU input is available. The multichannel interface 9301 also allows setups up to 7.1 via AES/EBU.

The bass reflex channel for the 15" driver is designed in a spiral construction (LSE - Laminar Spiral Enclosure). It is aerodynamically optimized and reduces air noise. Together with the powerful and efficient 800-watt Class-D amplifier, it enables high distortion-free levels down to the lower end of the transmission range.
