The particularly compact Gainward GeForce GTX 1660 Pegasus is designed for installation in a Mini-ITX system. The integrated Nvidia Turing graphics chip operates at a boost clock of up to 1785 MHz. To maintain this performance for as long as possible, the card features a 2-slot thick cooling design with a fan. The graphics card, measuring only 16.8 cm in length, is powered via an additional 8-pin PCIe connector.
The TU116 graphics chip, based on the Turing GPU architecture, is the heart of the GTX 1660 and is manufactured using a 12nm process. This shrunk manufacturing process, combined with the Turing architecture, allows for improved efficiency and higher clock rates compared to the Pascal architecture.
By synchronizing the screen's refresh rate with the graphics processor, G-Sync prevents tearing, minimizes stuttering, and reduces display latencies. On G-Sync-compatible monitors, this ensures a smooth, sharp, and exciting gaming experience even at high frequencies.
