Gainward re-designs the entire hardware, bringing higher stability under high current operation (heavy loading operation).
8 + 2 PWM power
Gainward uses 8 phases for the GPU core and 2 phases for memory chips, which helps to supply enough power to the 3D graphics engine and GDDR5X chips. This design minimizes current loading and heat generation for each phase to stabilize the voltage level, improve overall efficiency, and reduce choke noise and EMI noise.
DrMOS
DrMOS is designed to handle high current with low noise operation and less heat generation.
Dual BIOS (1: OC, 2: standard)
Gainward provides two VBIOS for the GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix board. The factory overclocking VBIOS is set on position 1 of the dual BIOS switch. Users can overclock the Phoenix board with confidence thanks to the standard-clock setting in the second VBIOS at position 2 of the dual BIOS switch whenever needed.
