The FUJINON XF23mmF2.8 R WR pancake lens extends the range of the FUJIFILM X series, which is known for classic modern cameras, excellent image quality and unrivalled colour reproduction.

At just 23 millimetres in length1 and weighing around 90 grammes, the lens is exceptionally compact and lightweight. Its 23 mm focal length (equivalent to 35 mm 35mm) and high resolution make it the ideal complement to the 40.2 megapixel "X-Trans CMOS 5 HR" sensor2.
The versatile standard wide-angle lens is suitable for a wide range of subjects - from everyday scenes and close-ups to landscapes, portraits and still lifes. It combines robust construction, high functionality and impressive image quality in a wide range of situations. Thanks to the compact shape and low weight of the lens, the photographic equipment remains pleasantly light, ideal for spontaneous shots on the move.

The optical construction of the XF23mmF2.8 R WR consists of eight elements in six groups. Two aspherical lenses minimise aberrations from the centre to the edge of the image and contribute to impressive sharpness and fine detail.
Despite its high resolution, the lens remains compact as the lens elements can be made particularly thin thanks to the latest manufacturing technology. The slim lens benefits from precisely manufactured metal components. Weighing just 90 grammes and measuring 23 millimetres in length, it is similarly compact to the XF27mmF2.8.
Eleven aperture blades create a soft, round bokeh, which emphasises the main subject in an atmospheric way. At the same time, small objects at close range can also be depicted in great detail.

The minimum distance to the subject is only 20 centimetres, the lens remains pleasantly compact and easy to handle even at this close range. This makes it possible to take pictures even in small spaces - such as still lifes on a table.
When focusing, the entire lens group moves, minimising aberrations and ensuring high image quality right up to the close-up range. A powerful DC motor ensures fast focussing.
