The UM232R USB/serial UART development module with FTDI chip is a USB/serial UART (TTL) development module for the FT232R IC device. The UM232R is provided on a circuit board that fits a 24-pin DIP socket. It offers access to all UART and CBUS interface pins of the FT232R device. The UM232R can be configured for either USB bus power or self-powering and also supports 5V or 3V level interface I/O through two sets of jumper setting pins. Full hardware handshake operation is supported, and the UM232R can communicate at up to 3 Mbaud at TTL/CMOS levels.
