Philip Bro is the designer behind this beautiful lamp from Frandsen Retail. With its elliptical shape and simple shade, it elegantly embodies the classic trend in today's interior design. As is often the case with Philip Bro's designs, the inspiration for Champ comes from the interpretation of Danish design tradition. In the case of Champ, there are clear references to Poul Henningsen's use of grids and reflective metal bowls, as well as to Verner Panton's love for round, organic shapes. Champ was created through the play of indirect light through curved metal forms - just as Danish designers have always done. With its simple shade, the pendant light can hang both high and low without the light source causing glare - perfectly in line with the functionality and craftsmanship that the entire Danish design tradition is based on. The name of this award-winning lamp is an abbreviation for Champion. When viewed in profile, the lamp also resembles a perfectly shaped mushroom, giving Champ a beautiful duality.
