The third-generation Scarlett 18i8 is the perfect audio interface for sound engineers and producers who need to adapt to their recording environment wherever they are. It offers eight analog inputs: four mic/line inputs, two instrument inputs with high resistance and lots of headroom, as well as four additional fixed level inputs on the rear panel. An optical input allows expansion with up to 8 additional channels for larger recording sessions. Enhanced A-D and D-A conversion ensures clear and nuanced sound from your recordings and playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz, helping you fine-tune your mix. The Scarlett 18i8 features four of Focusrite's most compelling third-generation Scarlett microphone preamps: with optional Air Mode to reproduce the air effect of the original ISA microphone preamp, giving your vocal and acoustic recordings a brighter and more open sound. A pad on each microphone preamp makes higher signal levels possible without overdriving. The Scarlett 18i8 offers two line outputs more than the last generation and on top of that loudspeaker switching technology for setups with two monitor pairs. Two independent headphone outputs allow sound engineers and artists to listen in while recording, while the two virtual loopback inputs allow you to record a stereo feed with any combination of hardware input and software playback channel - making podcasting, live streaming and sampling child's play. The Scarlett 18i8 is prepared for the rough tour life and can be connected directly to your Mac or PC via a USB cable.
