Quickly check the activity, polarity, and connection of a fiber optic with the FiberLert Live Fiber Detector. Simply place it in front of the fiber end face or port, and a light signal along with a sound will indicate an active fiber (850 nm to 1625 nm), with no setup or interpretation required.

This pocket-sized tool tests singlemode, multimode, UPC, and APC patch cables and ports with a non-contact, non-contaminating measurement head. The LightBeat function causes the LED to blink, indicating an operational state and a good battery. A timer turns off the FiberLert after five minutes of inactivity to extend battery life (2 x AAA included).

Robust design with a convenient pocket clip included. Detects active fiber signals for checking ports, cables, and polarity. Measures optical power in singlemode and multimode fiber optic wavelengths (near-infrared range 850 nm to 1625 nm).
