The label Flos was founded in 1961, and from the very beginning, it has been part of the company's philosophy to create a challenging balance between provocation and functionality. In collaboration with renowned designers from around the world, numerous products have emerged over time, many of which have become icons in the realm of Italian lighting design. Another characteristic of the label is its willingness to experiment, as evidenced by the use of new and revolutionary materials in its products.

A table lamp inspired by classic design

For this desk lamp, designer Ron Gilad drew inspiration from the classic banker lamp. The lighting of the LED lamp is dimmable and features Soft Touch technology for the switch. A USB port completes the lamp's impressive features. The table lamp, measuring 25.5 centimeters wide, 40 centimeters high, and 8 centimeters deep, is made from methacrylate and aluminum.

A master of aesthetics

Ron Gilad was born in Tel Aviv in 1972. After completing his schooling, he studied design in Jerusalem, and shortly thereafter, he received a teaching position in Ramat-Gan. In 2001, Ron Gilad, along with his partner Lior Haramaty, opened their own design studio in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City. They not only designed their objects but also organized the distribution for them. Characteristic of Ron Gilad, who is considered one of the pioneers of new Israeli design, is the symbiosis of concrete approaches with aesthetic playfulness. His designs are also well-received in the professional world, as evidenced by Elle Décor and Wallpaper naming Ron Gilad "Designer of the Year" in 2013.
