Opening electrical cabinets for thermographic inspections and visual checks of components during operation is dangerous, as personnel may be exposed to life-threatening arc flashes. To enhance safety, a FLIR infrared window can be installed as a protective shield between people and the live electrical equipment. This provides better protection for employees, and cabinets no longer need to be opened.
Easy installation: Due to the same dimensions as standard piping, FLIR IR inspection windows can be easily and securely installed. Only one hole is required for each window, and only a simple PIRma-Lock™ screw ring needs to be tightened. The opening can be created using standard American tools.
Reliability of PIRma-Lock™: The proven locking nut is an innovative concept for the FLIR screw ring of the infrared window.
