The FiiO FF3 earbuds are not traditional in-ear headphones; instead, they are designed as earbuds. Earbuds rest in the outer ear rather than being inserted into the ear canal, which many music lovers find more comfortable. The housing of the earbuds is made from high-quality stainless steel. The top of the earbuds features an appealing pattern and is covered with safety glass. A common drawback of earbuds is their often weak bass response. To address this, FiiO has equipped the FF3 with a drum-shaped bass chamber and a flute-shaped housing. This drum-type dual-cavity construction ensures that the bass sounds controlled, rich, and powerful. The dynamic, high-performance driver, featuring a premium Japanese voice coil, is generously sized at 14.2 mm and produces an energetic, clear, and natural sound. The package includes three different types of foam covers, each generating distinct sound signatures: enhanced bass, a well-balanced sound, or a transparent, finely resolved sound with a focus on the highs. Not only the earbuds but also the high-quality headphone cable made of high-purity copper with a silver coating is thoughtfully designed. It features MMCX connectors at both earbuds, allowing for easy replacement if needed. The connectors for connecting to a music playback device are conveniently interchangeable, with a 3.5 mm plug and a symmetrical 4.4 mm plug included. This makes the FF3 versatile for use with various devices. The red and blue rings on the earbuds allow for easy identification of the correct placement in the right and left ear.
