The FiiO Darkside Pro is a high-quality, linear regulated low-noise power supply specifically designed for demanding HiFi systems. It ensures a clean and stable power supply. As part of the FiiO Power Purification series, it consistently aims to create a deep black, interference-free sound foundation, allowing even the finest musical nuances to emerge with precision. The heart of the power supply is an audiophile 75-watt toroidal transformer with grain-oriented silicon steel core. It impresses with high efficiency, minimal eddy current losses, and extremely low magnetic stray fields. The even field distribution reduces interference and provides a stable power reserve, even during dynamic load peaks. The fully discrete voltage regulator circuit with precise reference architecture works in conjunction with parallel-connected high-current MOSFETs of the type IRFZ34NPBF. The result is an extremely low noise characteristic combined with fast transient response and high current delivery capability of up to 3 amperes. High-quality components such as ELNA, Rubycon, and WIMA capacitors, as well as a Shindengen bridge rectifier, significantly contribute to the effective filtering of power supply disturbances and electromagnetic influences. The switchable output voltage of 12 or 15 volts is adjusted via relay control, optimizing efficiency and thermal stability. A precise fine adjustment via potentiometer and a self-resetting fuse ensure maximum operational safety.
