It connects the SFF8643 port of the backplane of an SRC-12G server case to a Mini SAS SFF8643 port on your server, typically on a controller card. Up to four hard drives can be addressed per SFF8643 connection. The cable is designed for data transfer rates of up to 12 Gbit/s per hard drive.
