The F38 Quick Release Base Plate is used with the F38 Quick Release Top Plate. The F38 Quick Release Top Plate can be installed and removed with a push, allowing for a quick switch between different devices. With the 1/4 screw and the 3/8 screw, more applications can be achieved in practice.
