Castell 9000 - a true classic among pencils - was launched on the market in 1905 by Alexander Graf von Faber-Castell. Its quality and fine gradation of hardness have made it the favourite tool of artists and draughtsmen. Its lead is completely glued to the wooden casing and is therefore particularly resistant to breakage. Available as a variant for shorthand.
