Eyb Guitars Eyb Megaswitch 3.0, Version S

The third generation of the Eyb Megaswitch® is an evolution of the previous Eyb Megaswitch®. It is available in five variants and offers more switching options with easier handling. Many other details have also been significantly improved:

1. 20% less weight.
2. All contacts are gold-plated, including the rotor contacts. This means better contact and longer lifespan.
3. There is no need to keep specially made knobs on hand. All standard US knobs are usable (available in black, white, cream, ivory, gold, chrome, or as Tele Barrel Knobs).
4. The switch can no longer fall apart, as the central connection screw has been eliminated. This screw could loosen in the previous version or break if tightened too much.
5. The lever can no longer break, as steel sheet is used instead of cast iron.
6. More options with fewer variants and soldering effort due to the use of solder bridges. This significantly reduces the need for jumper wires.
7. The circuit boards have two holes per connection with a diameter of 1.5 mm. This greatly facilitates soldering work.
8. Thanks to the special mechanics, the lever engages more precisely and does not get stuck between positions.

Variant S serves as a replacement for conventional 5-way switches, such as the original Fender® Stratocaster® circuit. In the new type S, the use of a 4-pole circuit board has been implemented more consistently. There are more options for tone controls or pickup combinations. The additional terminals are labeled A - D.
