Product details
The EX-6128PoE is a versatile serial multiprotocol device server specifically designed to provide a seamless connection between serial RS-232/422/485 devices and an IP-based Ethernet network. This device enables the integration of a variety of serial devices, including POS systems, barcode readers, sensors, measuring instruments, weighing systems, CNC controls, and PLCs. By using Ethernet, these devices can be shared within a subnet and over the internet. The EX-6128PoE supports a range of network protocols for remote configuration, including TCP server, TCP client, UDP, and Modbus RTU. A standout feature is the support for a virtual COM port (VCOM), which allows for easy migration of existing serial applications without the need for software changes. Additionally, the device offers Power over Ethernet (PoE), simplifying installation as it can be powered through the Ethernet cable. With the capability to configure up to 256 COM ports, the EX-6128PoE is a flexible solution for integrating serial devices into modern networks.
