Product details
The EX-6112-2PoE is a serial multiprotocol RS-232 device server designed to connect serial RS-232 devices, including cash registers, barcode scanners, sensors, measuring devices, weighing systems, CNC controls, and PLCs, to an IP-based Ethernet network. The serial devices are connected via Ethernet and are available for sharing within the subnet and the internet. Remote configuration is achieved through extensive network protocols such as TCP server, TCP client, UDP, VCOM, serial Telnet, RFC2217, Remote-Pair-Master-Slave, or Modbus RTU. To ensure backward compatibility with serial legacy devices running existing COM port application software, the EX-6112-2PoE provides a virtual COM port (VCOM) that perfectly migrates your serial application without modifying the software. The EX-6112-2PoE supports Power over Ethernet and can be powered directly through the Ethernet cable from a PoE-compliant power supply (PSE). Additionally, serial devices can communicate with each other in peer-to-peer mode without the need for a PC or conversion software.
