The EX-16600 PCI-Express FireWire 1394a (FireWire 400) card expands PCs, workstations, or servers with three external FireWire 1394a ports (2x 6-pin, 1x 4-pin) and one internal 6-pin FireWire 1394a port. It allows for the connection of FireWire devices such as camcorders or professional audio equipment. The EX-16600 comes with a low-profile bracket for slim computer cases up to 8 cm in height.

The FireWire 1394a PCIe card features three external and one internal output and supports up to 63 devices. The PCI Express interface is compatible with the 1.1 specification. "Hot swapping" allows devices to be plugged in and removed without shutting down the computer. It can also be installed in addition to the FireWire ports on the motherboard. Active State Power Management (ASPM) for L0s and L1 is supported. The card is compatible with PC and Linux systems. Chipset: Via VT6315.
