Espressif Development board ESP32-DevKitM-1

The ESP32-DevKitM-1 is an ESP32-MINI-1(1U)-based development board manufactured by Espressif. Most I/O pins are divided across the pin headers on both sides to facilitate connections. Users can connect peripherals either with jumper wires or mount the ESP32-DevKitM-1 on a breadboard.

Overview: This is a small and practical development board with the following features:

• ESP32-MINI-1 or ESP32-MINI-1U module
• USB-serial programming interface, which also provides power to the board
• Pin headers
• Push buttons for reset and entering firmware download mode
• a few other components

Interfaces: Built-in ESP32-MINI-1 or ESP32-MINI-1U module. The ESP32-MINI-1 comes with an integrated PCB antenna. The ESP32-MINI-1U features an external antenna connector. Both modules have a 4 MB flash memory in the chip package.

5 V to 3.3 V LDO: The power regulator converts 5 V to 3.3 V. Boot button and download button: Holding the Boot button and then pressing Reset will start the firmware download mode for downloading firmware via the serial port.

Micro-USB connector: USB interface. Provides power to the board as well as the communication interface between a computer and the ESP32 chip.

USB-to-UART bridge: A single USB-UART bridge chip enables transmission rates of up to 3 Mbps.

3.3 V power-on LED: Lights up when the USB is connected to the board. Details can be found in the schematics in the related documents.

I/O connection: All available GPIO pins (except for the SPI bus for flash) are distributed across the pin headers on the board. Users can program the ESP32 chip to enable multiple functions.
